The Zoomerang is one of the better Vekoma boomerangs and has a gorgeous view from the top.

I hit the boomerang (sorry, it is the ingeniously named Zoomerang) that was my first Vekoma boomerang.  It is hard to believe that after 50 coasters, I still had not ridden a boomerang.  I do not hate this as so many people do, in fact, being afraid of heights made this first drop even scarier for me.  It was a bit rough, the cars were attractive, but the best part of the ride was the clamp which comes down to grab the train...it had a scary-looking mouth painted on it.  For some odd reason I found this really humorous.  The worst part about this ride is the station.  There is simply no excuse to have a roller coaster and build such a crappy place for the riders to board from.  On top of looking like it was built for a carnival, the station did not allow people to choose their own seats.  I have always felt that if people are going to pay to get in your park, at least allow them something as simple as choosing their place on the train.  If your park is going to be around for a long time, it should not look like it can be put in a trailer to be moved at the end of the day.  While I do not love boomerangs, I think they belong in smaller parks like this because they cost little, give parks a proven steel design and have a small footprint.  If there is a place for the boomerang it is at a family park, NOT a huge corporate themer.  When Kentucky Kingdom got theirs, it was a perfect fit.  However, I do not think it should be at Six Flags New England, or any Six Flags park, now.

The Wildcat & Wave Swinger make for a nice picture. The Sally-manufactured Ghost Hunt is off the picture to the right.

I hit the Wave Swinger next, where a sign declared it was designed by Zierer and built by Frank (or Franz) Schwarzkopf.  Always fun...anyone know why these things fly you sideways while Yo-Yo's fly you straight ahead?  Then it was off to the Rotor.  I had only been on Tom's Twister at Six Flags St. Louis before where the floor drops six inches...not at the Lake folks.  Here, the floor drops a couple of feet which scared the living ^@*& out of me because I was expecting it to drop an inch or two, not that much...I loved it!

The beautiful Lake Compounce carousel is a mixture of carvers and uses a Looff drive mechanism.

Huss makes a thrilling attraction in the Top Spin, but their restraint system is not too kind to the male anatomy.

The Huss Top Spin called me next.  This was my first Top Spin & I had a good time.  My crotch was cursing me after the restraints came down, but other than that it was a good time.  The best part of the ride was not the flips, but the hang time when I let go of everything and was held above the ground.  I really need to get to Europe where I have heard they let these things really move and give amazing rides.
