The Twister (made by Wisdom) was fun, as was the Arrow log flume, which gets you up in the trees. The Huss Enterprise was great, in fact I got the longest ride ever on this type of ride...we were vertical for quite a while. The only thing which bothered me was a distinct whine/grunt as we passed the bottom every time...it sounded pretty bad. The Huss Pirate (they like the Bremen Maschinefabrik here) is in one of the best looking locations anywhere, complete with a waterfall and pirate flag.

The Pirate Ship has a beautiful location above the man-made waterfall.  The Arrow log flume is well kept and one of their best installations.

The venerable Wildcat is a very photogenic coaster.

For lunch I hit the Potato Patch and got a Mountain Dew, WONDERFUL fries and some chicken tenders. A cheap lunch (for a park) and definitely better than you get most places.  I walked over to the Flying Skooters which were closed, walked all the way over to the sky ride which was also closed. This thing looks amazingly high...I cannot wait to go back and ride it.  The Wildcat was calling me next. Like the Boomerang you get what seat you can because it is not allowed. I thought, well, it must be like at Canobie, there is no room to put a queue area in the classic station. But wait! There is a ton of room in the station and gates are set up for every seat. All the park would have to do is cut up some of the line and re-use the nice lumber to build a place for people to wait for their own car...it would not take a lot to change the station.

A view of the park from the lake. Working left to right we see a hint of Boulderdash, the ferris wheel, the skycoaster, the Zoomerang and the carousel building.

The ride itself was not that great, from my last seat in the first car I got little air and a lot of roughness. I could tell it could be a fun coaster, but it needs something else from the people who take care of it. The cars were three bench PTC's with seat dividers and single-locking lap bars.  It was fun and gave a great view of the park.  The Skycoaster looked like it was in a great location...unfortunately it was not running either. This is one of the few 180-foot installations in New England. I hit up Sally's Ghost Hunt next, which had the longest wait of the day, 45 minutes. I really liked this dark ride, it was fun and funny& I racked up 990 points...not too shabby for a first-timer like myself. Afterwards I got some glazed pecans, as advised on rec.roller-coaster. I took them sat outside the Ghost Hunt and watched unsuspecting people were sprayed by the Gargoyle...it was hilarious!

The Flying Skooters opened later. These were moved from Kennywood in 1997, I believe were at Idora Park before that and had the possibility to give a great ride. Canobie's were bad, but these were not a whole lot better. Granted, I am not the best at these things, but the ride was pretty short, slow and did not give me a whole lot of fun.   The rest of my day was spent on BD, where the queue remained almost full the whole day, but was only a 20-minute wait. I also grabbed a lot more rides on Wildcat, Zoomerang, Rotor and Top Spin.  I had a great time here and am looking forward to going back...the skyride and Boulder Dash are calling. It is a great park next to a beautiful lake and woods. I have heard they will be getting a few Zamperla rides for the next couple of years, which will be perfect flat ride additions.
